Our forums will be used by our company and are private. I will need people from multiple departments to act as a moderator in a forum category that is part of their department. If I enter the username of a moderator at the category level and have email notifications for new threads or replies turn on, will that user receive notifications for every child channel underneath the category?



If yes, and I need to add a moderator to a child channel only, would I simply add their username at the child level and they would receive email notifications only for the child, while a moderator at the category level still receives for everything in the category?



I also recognize we're going to need back-up moderators who fill in when the regular mod is out sick, on vacation, etc. I don't want those back-ups receiving regular email notifications when they're not needed to moderate. If I add them to the moderator user group but don't add them as a mod to a specific category or channel, I assume they'd simply be able to check in from time-to-time each day in the category and/or channel and have the capabilities of a regular mod such as moving threads, answering questions, etc.?
